The rope has a blended dyneema and polypropylene cover which provides great abrasion resistance through ratchets and cleats while also not absorbing water. This Excel Fusion 6mm rope from Marlow also comes with a 12 strand SK78 dyneema core so the rope can be tapered down to a thinner rope reducing friction.
